Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials of the Guntur Range caught D. Srinivas, medical officer at Tulluru Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Guntur district, allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹25,000 for extending an official favour.

The medical officer had issued a show-cause notice to an employee for unauthorised absence and allegedly demanded the bribe to submit a favourable report on the employee to higher officials.

The ACB officials trapped Dr. Srinivas at the PHC while he was allegedly accepting the bribe. Further investigation is under way, the ACB said in a release.
