A State-level under-20 girls’ Kabaddi tournament began in Aswaraopet of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Saturday evening, with teams from all 33 districts of Telangana taking part. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy inaugurated the tournament at the mini-stadium in Aswaraopet. According to a press release, Mr. Srinivas Reddy, along with Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy and Aswaraopet MLA Jare Adinarayana, watched the inaugural match between Khammam and Suryapet teams. Earlier in the day, Mr. Srinivas Reddy visited the residence of former Lok Sabha member and his close relative Ramasahayam Surender Reddy in Khammam and greeted him on his birthday.
