Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh was presented with a copy of The Uncharted Artery – Heartfulness Compass, authored by senior interventional cardiologist and Heartfulness trainer A. Sharath Reddy, at an event held at Medicover Hospitals, Financial District, on Saturday.

The book, which brings together the author’s experiences in cardiology and meditation, comprises 25 essays examining stress, work pressure, uncertainty and the demands of modern life, while highlighting the importance of mental calm, emotional balance and clarity of thought alongside physical heart health.

“While cardiac care often focuses on the physical heart, the mental state of a person also plays an important role in making critical decisions, particularly in high-pressure situations. Every moment is important in cardiac care. Our hands perform the procedure, but it is a calm and clear mind that guides critical decisions,” said Dr. Reddy.

Mr. Ramesh said police personnel regularly faced stressful situations and had to take important decisions, making mental calm and clarity particularly important. He appreciated Dr. Reddy’s attempt to bring together his medical experience and meditation practice in the book.
