In Kansas, Democrat Adam Hamilton, a Christian pastor, is campaigning for the Senate seat held by Republican Roger Marshall. Hamilton hopes to be the first Democrat to win the seat in almost 100 years. He is urging supporters to mobilise on voting day to secure a historic victory.
What happened
Kansas Democrat Adam Hamilton is urging voters to turn out on election day to beat incumbent Republican Roger Marshall and become the first Democrat to win a Kansas Senate seat in nearly a century.
Why it matters

Impact
A potential change in party dominance in Kansas, increased political engagement, and a precedent for future elections in similar states.
