The Departments of Cardiology, Cardiovascular, and Thoracic Surgery, and Medical-Surgical Speciality of Christian Medical College (CMC) organised a series of health-promotion activities, educational programs, competitions, and staff-engagement activities on its campus in Vellore and Ranipet as part of World Heart Day 2026.
According to a press release, Ranipet Collector N. Priya Ravichandran was the chief guest at the function organised by CMC at its campus in Ranipet on Tuesday. Ms. Priya distributed prizes and certificates to winners.
Among several events, a blood donation camp, Zumba sessions, academic quizzes, CPR race, creative competitions, Escape Room, heart-healthy cookery competition, and walkathon collectively contributed to a comprehensive World Heart Day initiative that encompassed both professional and community-oriented activities.
On the occasion, Biju George, director, CMC, staff, students of CMC and residents were present, the release said.
