A Congress MLA from Kamareddy district alleged that a senior Minister in the State has verbally abused and threatened him at an Delhi hotel, when a host of State leaders had visited the National Capital to participate in the rally called by INDIA Bloc against SIR.

The MLA has charged that the senior Minister had not only abused him in filthy language but warned him of physical harm and political retribution. He said the grouse of the Minister, which he claimed was alleged influence in the appointment of party leader Chandrashekhar Reddy as the District Congress Committee president of Sangareddy district. He denied any role in the said appointment process and wondered why he would involve himself in the party affairs of another district unit.

The MLA, visibly shaken by the incident said the said Minister held a grudeg against him following his refusal to purportedly support sand mining activities involving the latter’s close aide. The MLA pointed out that several Congress leaders, including a City MLA, were present when the abuse took place.

Efforts to reach out to the Minister for his version proved futile.
