Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G. Srijana has directed officials to expedite infrastructure development works at Fox Sagar, Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Junction under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) initiative, setting November 15 as the deadline for completing land acquisition for the proposed Fox Sagar Bridge.
During a field inspection on Thursday, November 5, the Commissioner reviewed the progress of the proposed bridge at Fox Sagar and ongoing infrastructure works at Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Junction. She directed the Town Planning Department to complete the land acquisition process for the Fox Sagar project by November 15 to facilitate the commencement of construction.
The department was also instructed to coordinate with the Wakf Board and property owners to ensure that the land required for projects at Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Junction was handed over without any legal or other encumbrances.
The Engineering Department was directed to execute the proposed major flyover at Fox Sagar in a planned manner and complete the work by the end of February 2027. Officials were also asked to expedite the ongoing works at Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Junction and complete them within the stipulated deadlines.
The Commissioner stressed the need for better coordination among departments and early resolution of land acquisition issues to prevent delays in the execution of key road infrastructure projects under the H-CITI initiative.
