Reaching the second floor itself through a very narrow staircase itself is a task. This has raised questions as to whether all seven murders were committed here in the house. | Photo Credit: SUDHAKARA JAIN

Indushekhar lived with his wife Sunita and daughter in a small house, barely 500 sq. ft, on the terrace of a two-storey building, nestled among several commercial establishments, 50 metres from the famous Bhashyam Circle, Rajajinagar.

The building has commercial establishments on the ground floor, including a watch repair shop, a tea stall and a small condiments shop. The entire first floor was occupied by a small political party. Indushekar’s house is on the second floor, which also serves as the terrace.

Household appliances were crammed into the space, with several other household items scattered around. A board on the wall read, “Police Voice”.

Reaching the second floor itself through a very narrow staircase itself is a task. This has raised questions as to whether all seven murders were committed here in the house. However, the accused claimed that the murders took place inside his house. The location has raised several questions, as the building has very little space to move around.

However, the police investigation indicates a high probability that the murders took place there. “He may have cleaned the entire scene, but residues were found at the crime scene,” the officer said.

How did he transport the bodies down to the road into his car is a question that has left the police puzzled. He couldn’t have done it alone and that is where police suspect the role of the minor daughter. Given the lane mostly has commercial establishments, the police suspect that he could have shifted the bodies only during night time.
