The Greater Chennai Police have arrested Gem Granites owner R. Veeramani’s watchman Seenivasan on charges of aiding the businessman in sexually exploiting minor girls.

According to police, the watchman, who was working with Veeramani for over 20 years, had allegedly switched off power supply or changed the angle of surveillance cameras when the victims were brought to the house.

Seenivasan was arrested in connection with two cases booked under the POCSO Act. The police attached to the Special Investigation Team seized Seenivasan’s mobile phone and conducted a search at his residence in Ennore.

He was produced in a city court and remanded in judicial custody, police said in a statement.
