A local court has issued a summons to Cooperation Minister Laxman Savadi to appear before the judge in a case relating to an alleged provocation to assault in 2018. The Fourth Judicial Magistrate First Class Court in Athani has issued the summons to appear on October 9.
Raju Jamakhandikar, a leader of the Talawar community, had complained to the police, alleging that Mr. Savadi had provoked some of his followers to assault him.
The alleged assault, for asking questions about budgetary allocations for the development of the Talawar community, took place in the presence of Mr. Savadi.
