The low pressure area over south and north Andaman Sea moved west-northwestwards and intensified into a well-marked low pressure at 5.30 a.m. on Saturday (October 31, 2026).

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Amaravati, the well-marked low pressure is centred near southeast Bay of Bengal as of Saturday (October 31, 2026) morning.

The system may further move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression near the Andhra Pradesh coast by the night.

The IMD says the system will move northwestwards and intensify further over west-central Bay of Bengal around November 2, but experts have not stated clearly if the system will dissipate after intensifying into a deep depression, or if it will intensify further into a cyclone. They say clarity will emerge only after cyclogenesis is formed, which is after the system intensifies into a depression.

Under the influence of the system, many places in Andhra Pradesh may receive light to moderate showers from November 2. Isolated showers are expected on Saturday (October 31, 2026) and Sunday (November 1, 2026).
