Speaking in an interview published days ahead of the high-profile state dinner on September 24, Altman highlighted the urgent need for cross-border alignment and characterised basic safety accords as a reachable diplomatic milestone that needs international recognition.“I think Presidents Trump and Xi would get the Nobel Peace Prize together if they could agree on something that should be easy to agree to, and it would be wonderful,” Altman said in an interview with Fortune Magazine.“I think that clearly the two countries are going to compete in lots of ways, and this is going to be important socioeconomically, geopolitically they should be able to agree that no one should be taking a certain level of risk with the development process of this. And even if just the US and China could agree on some shared standards and testing for development of this technology, I think that'd be a wonderful accomplishment,” he said. List of executives joining Trump-Xi dinner Recently, a report claimed that a roster of America’s most prominent technology executives is heading to the White House this week for the state dinner – bringing the architects of AI directly into the room with the leaders of the world's two largest economies. These include Altman and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and top figures from Apple, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, Bloomberg said, citing a person familiar with the arrangements. Confirmed and expected tech attendees While the official guest roster has not been formally published, multiple industry leaders are confirmed or widely expected at the East Room table: Satya Nadella (CEO, Microsoft), Tim Cook (Executive Chairman, Apple), Jensen Huang (CEO, Nvidia), Sam Altman (CEO, OpenAI) and Cristiano Amon (CEO, Qualcomm).
