The Kozhikode range-level inauguration of ‘Project Zero-Blow the Whistle Against Corruption’, a State-wide initiative of the Kerala Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB), will be held at the JDT Islam campus at Vellimadukunnu here on Monday (September 28, 2026).
Home and Vigilance Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the initiative by blowing a whistle and distribute badges to Vigilance Commandos at the function scheduled for 2 p.m.
The initiative seeks to ensure greater participation of young people in efforts to build a corruption-free and transparent Keralam. ‘Gen-Z for Integrity, for the Kerala of Tomorrow’ is the campaign slogan.
K. Jayanth,MLA, will preside over the function. Vigilance Director Manoj Abraham will deliver the introductory address. Actor Neeraj Madhav, the chief guest, will administer the Youth Integrity Pledge. Scholar and poet Soman Kadaloor will be the guest of honour.
District Collector M.S. Madhavikutty, JDT Islam Orphanage and Education Institution president P.C. Anwar, District Police Chief (Kozhikode City) A.P. Shoukathali, VACB Special Cell SP C.M. Devadas, VACB (Northern Range) SP Balakrishnan Nair and JDT secretary C.A. Arif will also speak.
A promotional visual presentation of Project Zero will be released as part of the campaign. Students of the JDT Islam Orphanage and Education Institution will stage cultural programmes carrying anti-corruption messages, including a five-minute dance performance titled “Nerinte Chuvadukal” and a 10-minute play titled “Jeevithathinu Vilangu Theerthavar”.
