Chief Electoral Officer A.S.P.S Ravi Prakash has requested all eligible citizens whose names have not been included in the electoral roll to submit an application for enrolment as the Election Commission of India has issued a direction to conduct Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with January 1, 2027 as the qualifying date.

In a press release, CEO said citizens who would attain the age of 18 years on or before January 1, 2027 are eligible to apply with reference to that qualifying date. Advance application could also be submitted by those persons who will attain eligibility on April 1, July 1, and October 1, 2027.

Applications for inclusion of names could be submitted in Form 6 and in the case of overseas electors, in Form 6A. Form 7 could be used for objections to the proposed inclusions or requests for deletion, while Form 8 could be submitted for shifting of residence, correction or updating of entries, replacement of EPIC and marking of Persons with Disabilities, as applicable, he said.

Electors are encouraged to submit applications online through the Voter Service Portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in or through the ECINET App. Public could also contact 1950 for any assistance/query or any other election related matters.

The integrated draft electoral roll would be published on November 13 following which citizens are advised to verify their names and particulars, and submit claims or objections, wherever necessary, within the prescribed period. Rationalisation of polling stations will be undertaken in accordance with the instructions of the ECI, the release said.
