Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation(CESC) has extended the Dasara illumination till November 1 (Sunday) in view of Karnataka Rajyotsava.

The illumination was scheduled to conclude on October 31. However, to add to the festive spirit of the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, CESC decided to extend the illumination by a day, till November 1, with illumination continuing at major circles and prominent roads, a press release said.

CESC’s decision is expected to draw more footfalls with November 1 falling on a Sunday, with visitors getting an opportunity to witness illumination of Mysuru Palace as well.

The special illumination attracted a large number of visitors and the city witnessed traffic congestion during the festivities.
