The National SARAS Mela-2026, being organised at Punnami Ghat in Vijayawada, reopened on Thursday after remaining closed on Wednesday owing to the rainfall alerts given for the city.

NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha said the mela, which began on October 15, will conclude on October 31 and urged people to make use of the remaining two days to visit the exhibition and support women entrepreneurs.

Mr. Lakshmisha visited the exhibition and interacted with Lakhpati Didis from various States to enquire about sales and the response from visitors. He said the mela showcased a wide range of products made by women from self-help groups, including handicrafts, traditional artefacts, household items, textiles and region-specific products.
