Deepak Lodhi, a follower of Premanand Maharaj, died after falling from the Gau Kripa Kunj Ashram AGRA: A grinder was found in the room of Premanand Maharaj’s disciple Deepak Lodhi, whose private parts were found severed after he fell from the fourth floor of an ashram in Vrindavan, adding a new twist to the police probe into his death.Forensic experts are now examining the grinder to determine whose fingerprints may be present on it, while investigators are trying to establish whether Lodhi inflicted the injury himself or whether someone else was involved.The post-mortem report indicates that Lodhi sustained injuries at multiple places, including deep injuries to the head, a fractured rib and a fractured leg bone. It also records the presence of an amputated genital along with the body.According to the report, Lodhi had a stitched wound involving 14 stitches on the head, a wound on the chin and another stitched wound near the genitals. The report also notes a fracture underlying one of the injuries.Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the injury to Lodhi’s private parts, which is now a key part of the investigation. The grinder mystery Police have recovered a grinder from Lodhi’s room and, with the help of a forensic team, are trying to determine whether it was used in connection with the injury. Investigators are examining the fingerprints on the machine as part of their effort to establish who handled it.The probe is also focusing on whether Lodhi could have inflicted the injury on himself or whether another person was present or involved. Post-mortem records multiple injuries The post-mortem findings show injuries to the head, chin, leg and chest area, besides the injury to the private parts. The report records a haemorrhage in the scalp region and a hairline fracture with haematoma.It also mentions fractures in ribs on the left side of the chest.The body was noted as being present in two parts in the post-mortem report, with the amputated genital listed separately.Police are examining the post-mortem findings alongside forensic evidence and the circumstances in which Lodhi fell from the fourth floor of Gau Kripa Kunj Ashram near Varah Ghat. Police probe fatal fall from ashram Vrindavan DSP Sandeep Singh said police first received information that an injured man had been admitted to Sarvodaya Hospital on September 25."A report was received that a person had arrived at Sarvodaya Hospital in an injured condition and was admitted on Sept 25. Upon taking cognisance of this information, an immediate investigation was conducted, and it was learned that his name is Deepak Lodhi alias Rasik Dulari Sharan, who is a resident of Jabalpur. He was residing at Guru Kripa Kunj Ashram associated with Kali Kunj. Information has come to light that he committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the fourth floor. In this regard, the forensic team and Vrindavan police station team were immediately sent to the spot. Evidence has been collected from the scene by the team, and the Vrindavan police station team is carrying out the probe," he said. Fourth-floor fall followed by multiple injuries Deepak Lodhi, alias Rasik Dularisharan, 25, a native of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, had allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of the ashram around 10.30am on September 25.Other seekers rushed him to hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His body was later sent for post-mortem examination.Lodhi had moved to Vrindavan in 2025 to follow Premanand Maharaj and, after receiving initiation, began helping with arrangements at the ashram.Police are examining the forensic findings, the grinder recovered from the room and other evidence to establish the circumstances leading to Lodhi’s death.
