The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (SSSIHMS), Prasanthigram, in association with the Urological Society of India (USI), on Friday launched a two-day national urology surgical workshop under the USI CARES initiative.
Inaugurating the workshop, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust managing trustee R J Rathnakar highlighted Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s vision of providing quality healthcare free of cost, irrespective of caste, religion, region or financial status.
More than 15 leading urologists from across the country are participating in the workshop. Around 70 advanced urological surgeries are scheduled across eight operating theatres on October 23 and 24. The procedures include reconstructive surgeries, kidney stone treatments, prostate surgeries, and cancer-related operations, offering opportunities for specialists to exchange expertise and advance surgical skills.
