TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud along with other Telangana Congress leaders during the ‘Vote Bachao – Desh Bachao’ public meeting organised by the Congress-led INDIA Bloc in New Delhi.

The Telangana Congress mobilised more than 15,000 leaders, party workers and supporters for the ‘Vote Bachao – Desh Bachao’ public meeting organised by the Congress-led INDIA Bloc in New Delhi, showcasing its organisational strength and coordination.

The mobilisation, undertaken with the support of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and under the leadership of TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, saw party cadres from various districts travel to the national capital despite logistical challenges.

The party faced a last-minute setback after railway authorities reportedly declined permission for special trains to transport the participants. However, the Congress leadership made alternative arrangements, deploying more than 100 buses and utilising cars, other private vehicles, regular train services and flights to ensure the participation of a large contingent from Telangana.

The TPCC made elaborate arrangements for the accommodation and other requirements of the visiting leaders and workers. More than 800 hotel rooms were booked, while accommodation was also provided at the residences of party leaders in Delhi. Food and medical facilities were arranged to ensure that the participants faced no inconvenience during their stay, according to Mr. Mahesh Goud.

The large-scale participation was attributed to the coordination between the Chief Minister and the TPCC leadership and the efforts of party functionaries at different levels to mobilise cadres from across the State.

Meanwhile, thousands of people who could not travel to Delhi expressed solidarity with the Congress campaign by watching the public meeting at various locations across Telangana.

The Telangana Congress leadership said the participation of over 15,000 people, despite the transportation hurdles, reflected the commitment of party workers to the campaign for protecting democracy and safeguarding voting rights.

The mobilisation also provided an opportunity for the State Congress unit to demonstrate its organisational capabilities and collective strength at a national-level political programme.
