A TGSRTC bus rammed into an electric pole while trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle at a U-turn on the Medipalli highway in Ibrahimpatnam mandal of Jagtial district on Thursday.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the driver of the bus, which was travelling from Nizamabad towards Metpalli, applied sudden brakes to avoid hitting the motorcycle. The bus veered off the road and rammed into a roadside electric pole.
The motorcycle rider, identified as Lakshman of Bandalingapur village in the same mandal, sustained injuries after reportedly falling off his two-wheeler.
He was shifted to a hospital in Jagtial for treatment. None of the bus passengers were injured in the incident. However, the front portion of the bus was damaged in the impact.
