A TGSRTC Palle Velugu bus conductor was seriously injured after a woman passenger allegedly pushed her off the moving bus during an argument over change at Mittagudem village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday.

According to sources, the passenger initially argued with the conductor Pravalika, over buying a ticket for a boy accompanying her but later purchased one.

The argument reportedly resumed when Pravalika, citing a shortage of change, asked the passenger to collect the balance while getting off the bus. The passenger allegedly became furious and pushed the conductor off the moving bus.

Pravalika sustained serious injuries to both legs and was shifted to the Government Area Hospital in Bhadrachalam.

The incident sparked outrage among TGSRTC employees’ unions in the erstwhile undivided Khammam district.

TGSRTC Staff and Workers Federation State president Veeranjaneyulu demanded that the TGSRTC management strengthen safety measures for bus crews and ensure strict action against those attacking employees on duty. He warned of an agitation if the management failed to act on the issue.
