Housing Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan has submitted a representation to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar seeking the renaming of the proposed Kadugondanahalli Metro station on Namma Metro’s Pink Line as ‘Arabic College Metro Station’.
In a post on social media, the Minister said he had submitted the representation to the Chief Minister on Wednesday, requesting that the station be named after the Arabic College area.
The request aims to reflect the geographical identity and local significance of the area through an appropriate station name, he stated in the post.
The proposed station is part of the Pink Line of Namma Metro, which will connect Kalena Agrahara in south Bengaluru with Nagawara in the north.
