Man dies as two-wheeler rams his vehicle

A 38-year-old bank manager of a public sector bank died after a two-wheeler hit the moped he was riding, in Paramasathu village on Friday.

The police said the victim, K. Venketa Pratap, a native of Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), was working at a public sector bank in Ranipet town. He was returning home when B. Karthik, 33, of Ponnai village, lost control of his two-wheeler and hit the moped. In the impact, Pratap sustained injuries, while Karthik was unhurt. Pratap died at the Government Taluk Hospital in Sekkadu village near Katpadi.

A case was registered by Ponnai police.
