Poultry India Expo has expanded tenfold since 2007, from 3,500 sq. metres in one hall to 35,000 sq. metres across seven halls now, reflecting the rapid growth of India’s poultry industry and rising business interest.
The 18th edition of the Expo will be held at HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad from November 25 to 27. More than 550 exhibitors have registered, and over 51,000 industry professionals from around 120 countries are expected to attend.
Organised by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA) under Poultry India, the expo will bring together poultry farmers, equipment manufacturers, feed producers, breeders, veterinarians and technology companies.
The exhibition will showcase innovations in breeding, hatchery management, automated feeding, climate-controlled housing, farm automation, veterinary diagnostics, egg processing and waste management.
IPEMA–Poultry India president Uday Singh Bayas described the event as a “one nation-one expo” gathering that unites poultry associations and industry stakeholders. Poultry Knowledge Day, the expo’s flagship technical conference, will be inaugurated on November 24 at HICC–Novotel. Sessions will cover poultry health, nutrition, vaccination, artificial intelligence, automation and sustainable farming. Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Panchayati Raj S. P. Singh Baghel will attend.
Mr. Bayas said the expo’s tenfold expansion since its launch in 2007 reflected the industry’s rapid growth and entrepreneurs’ increasing interest in poultry.
India, the world’s second-largest egg producer, produced 149.11 billion eggs in 2024–25, according to Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2025. Andhra Pradesh accounted for the largest share at 18.37%, followed by Tamil Nadu at 15.63% and Telangana at 12.98%.
Telangana remains a major poultry hub, with estimated daily sales of 12 lakh broiler birds, according to V. Lakshma Reddy, former Director of Animal Husbandry, Telangana. The State has an estimated 2,000 layer farmers and about 10,000 broiler farmers. It produces about 3.8 crore eggs a day, nearly half of which are sent to Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
