Officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) have imposed a fine of ₹20,000 on a hotel for wasting water while cleaning its premises on Jubilee Hills Road No. 45.
The action followed an inspection on Wednesday by HMWS&SB Managing Director K. Ashok Reddy, who was walking along Jubilee Hills main road and noticed the incident on the premises of Anaganaga restaurant on Plot No. 775-G, officials said, and informed that the organiser of the place, K. Gayatri Reddy, who was fined ₹20,000.
Mr. Reddy, reminding people of the dry situation the State is currently reeling under, warned that strict action would be taken against those found wasting or misusing drinking water and other water resources.
